This program will feature a traditional Martial Arts curriculum that has been established for over 45 years. With an emphasis on childhood development and goal setting, this program promotes "Discipline of Mind and Body" and the development of a positive winning attitude!The program is directed by the founder of East Montgomery Martial Arts Academy (located in Horsham), Mr. Jonathan Exaros. Classes will be taught by Ms. Shannon Lynott who worked at the Goddard School in Doylestown and currently a teacher at Simmons Elementary School in Horsham. She is an instructor at the East Montgomery Martial Arts Academy and has been studying with Mr. Exaros since she was a little girl. The Academy is very pleased to be partnering with Doylestown Township Parks and Recreation, and is enthusiastic about bringing their unique and proven methods of teaching children to the Doylestown community.Please note: During the Spring session there is NO CLASS on April 22nd.

Calling ALL new puppy owners! Each class will have a different training discussion, as well as healthy socialization with other pups, objects and sounds. This class helps pups learn the cues of other pups and guide owners of appropriate puppy play. Topics of discussion can include house-training, mouthing, chewing and crate training. This is a play based class geared to pups ages 10 weeks to 16 weeks.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Working with Clay - Working with Clay
As one of the world's oldest art forms, clay continues to satisfy new and seasoned artists. In this one night class, we will be working with air dry clay (no kiln needed) and learning/reviewing basic clay skills. Coiling, slab building and other techniques will be explored. After some practice and warm-up games, participants will have time to begin and finish a piece that can be later painted at home after drying. No prior experience needed - come ready to get dirty!

This class is designed to introduce new pups and their owners to the foundation skills of good behavior at home and polite manners out of the home. Each class will introduce behavior and obedience commands including Leave It, Relax, Sit, Down, Place and Come. Each class will include healthy socialization with other pups, objects and sounds and a training discussion. When you and your pup complete seven classes, you can be recognized by the American Kennel Club and rewarded with their S.T.A.R. Puppy Medal and Puppy Package. This is a training based class geared to pups ages 3 months to 6 months.

At Engineering for Kids we believe that children are natural born engineers who have unlimited imaginations and unbridled enthusiasm. We offer fun, hands-on learning for children ages 4 to 12. Our activities range from building flashlights and rockets to programming video games and robots. The variety of programming is extraordinary!Jr. LEGO Robotics: Amazing Mechanisms (Ages 4-7)This class is a perfect mixture of fun and learning, using LEGO®WeDo™ Robots. Using LEGO® bricks, students build a dancing bird, a smart spinner and a drumming monkey. They also learn how to program and operate their creations using a laptop computer. Apprentice Robotics: Da Vinci Design (Ages 8-12)This LEGO® Robotics: Da Vinci Robots curriculum is designed to introduce students to the world of not only building, but also programming basic robots. The robots in this unit will approach some of the designs of Leonardo da Vinci, taking a unique perspective by applying robotics principles to the challenges da Vinci faced. Jr. Aerospace Engineering: Taking to the Skies (Ages 4-7)The Junior Aerospace Engineering classes introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of aircraft and spacecraft design. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct airplanes, rockets, helicopters, and more. Apprentice Aerospace Engineering: Up, Up and Away (Ages 8-12)During the Aerospace Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of flying machines. They construct a shock absorbing system designed to protect two marshmallow astronauts in a lunar vehicle, create their own air-powered rockets, and assemble a model blimp that actually takes flight!Please note: During the second Fall Session there is no class on December 1st (Thanksgiving weekend).

Archery is a universal, lifetime sport…anyone can do it! It builds upper body and core strength, along with balance and hand-eye coordination. Archery develops strong problem-solving skills, focus, determination and patience!“Exploring Archery” will introduce you to the sport of archery. All equipment, including bows, arrows (safe tip), quivers, targets, safety netting and cones will be provided. This 6-week program will help students practice precision and proper form, while promoting the joy and fulfillment that archery can bring! Each week is a new and exciting lesson plan. Students can develop at their own pace in a safe and fun environment!Taught by certified, experienced instructors from Shooting Star Archery. Please note: During the first Fall session there is no class on Halloween, October 31st. During the second Fall session there is no class on Thanksgiving, November 28th.
