Lace Up & Run
Dreaming of running your first 5K race? Looking to improve your cardiovascular fitness? Or just eager to lace up a pair of running shoes but don't know where to start? This interval-based running program for beginners uses a walk-run technique to gradually increase run intervals and decrease walk segments until participants are running 30-minute sessions. This program will focus on running form, warmups to prevent injury, and proper cool-down stretching. It is recommended that participants practice two additional days of the week on their own outside of the scheduled day to achieve best results. Cornerstone running coach, Road Runners Club of America certified coach and avid runner, Ryan Stamerro (pictured here with the flag) will teach you how to run effectively, improve your cardiovascular fitness and help you meet your race goals. All levels welcome.
