Central Park - August 2015
Wildlife Explorers is a fun, low barrier program of the National Recreation and Park Association and is designed to connect youth to nature by encouraging exploration and increasing kids' comfort with spending time in nature. This nature discovery program focuses on environmental likeability, rather than on environmental literacy.

Habitats & Homes - Ages 6-8
Be prepared to get dirty and wet as you discover Central Park's natural areas and the animals, insects and plants that make the park their home. Program will incorporate games, stories, crafts and plenty of hands-on discoveries. Bring a snack and plenty of water!

Habitats, Homes, Water & Wildlife - Ages 8-11
Be prepared to get dirty and wet as you discover Central Park's natural areas and wildlife through a series of hands-on discovery experiences and field investigations, while using scientific tools like thermometers, magnifiers, microscopes, butterfly nets and binoculars. Bring snacks, lunch, and plenty of water! 

For the Birds! - Ages 8-12
Birds are everywhere! But do you know them? This program will immerse participants in the world of birding. We will learn how to use both listening and communication skills to spot birds in the woods and fields, and to help eachother locate that elusive species. Binoculars and field guides will be available on loan (a $50 returnable deposit check is due to the instructor on the first day of class), and the instructor will teach how to use both. bring snacks, lunch and plenty of water!
