"Couch to 5K" - Rookie Runner Program

Can you really go from recliner to runner? From walking around the block with your best friend to running your first 5K? You bet you can! Join Tracey Kling, running expert from Cornerstone, for this 8-week beginner program – no running experience required! You will start out walking, and gradually work up to jogging and then running as you get comfortable. Learn proper form and technique, and combine your walking/running workouts with essential strength and core work. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish! And how's this for a goal - train for 8 weeks and run the Cornerstone 5K on April 25th! This program is designed for "aspiring runners," and beginners doing low mileage, not those who are already running regularly. Participants should be able to walk for 25-30 minutes before starting this program.
